Dear Irene and family, Belatedly in April I learned of Lois''s death and subsequently of Mark''s. I had been phoning Lois regularly and last connected with her when your father wanted to go home but was being transferred to that place to the south of Mt. Sinai. I never was able to reach her by phone after that. Then Juri and I went south for the winter, returning in March. In late April I learned that both of your parents had passed away in December. Please forgive me for not connecting with Lois during that time. I enjoyed getting to know both of your parents over the last 35 years. I hope that you will accept my belated but heartfelt sympathy for your great loss. Sincerely, Sharon Koor

Dear Irene and family, I only learned belatedly in April of Lois''s death and subsequently of your father''s death last December. I had been calling Lois on a regular but we last spoke when Mark was about to be transferred from Mt. Sinai to the ''place to the south'' as Lois put it and he wanted to come home instead. I continued phoning her after that until we left for the winter and never managed to make contact. I assumed that Mark had not come home and that she was visiting him daily. Please forgive me for not connecting with her during their last days. I certainly appreciated getting to know both Lois and Mark over the years and think of them often. I hope that all of you are doing well and will accept my belated but nonetheless heartfelt sympathy for your great loss last December. Sincerely, Sharon Koor

Dear Irene and family, Please accept Juri and my condolences on just learning today of the deaths of your parents. When I last spoke to Lois she was hoping that Mark could return home from the hospital. Unfortunately I did not get to talk with her again before we left for Grenada and Carriacou where we shall be until late February. I truly appreciated getting to know both of them through Ikebana International and the Toronto Japanese Garden Club over the years. Always willing to participate in ikebana activities, dependable, cheerful, intelligent, artistic and a pleasure to know. They will certainly be missed. Sincerely, Sharon and Juri Koor

Dear Orkin Family, I am deeply saddened to hear of Lois'' passing. I was fortunate to meet her 4 years ago when I moved to Toronto for her kindness and generosity. As a Sogetsu member, I valued her participation at exhibitions at her stage in life. We will be honouring her at our June Sogetsu Annual Show. Please let me know how I can contact you so that we can keep you informed. Magdalena Tamura-Reid Director Sogetsu Toronto Branch 647-328-1543 mstreid29@yahoo.com
