Dear Marlene, Harley, and Rhonda, I only heard yesterday about your father''s passing. Like many other friends of yours, I am sure, imprinted in my memory are images of being in your family''s home. My deepest condolences with much love and a big hug to each of you. May you be comforted among the other mourners of Zion and Yerushalyim.

On behalf of all our Shul members and friends, we will sorely miss our dear David ha Cohen, our illustrious poet, and his genuine good cheer, love of Judaism, Torah and the Jewish people. Personally speaking, my own sons will surely always remember the precious times they had with Mr. Zaretsky as they knew him on Friday afternoons before Shabbos and sometimes I got to join too when they would kibbitz with him as he put on tefillin, gave tzedakah and told them poetry. And on a few Chanukahs they even got to bring him homemade latkes, which he said was his favourite. May David''s neshama be a merit for his dear surviving family, who will in turn bring him much ''Yiddishe nachas ruach'' by perpetuating his special acts in support of the Jewish people and his special mitzvahs of putting on tefillin and giving tzedakah. And may we all reunite together very soon again with the coming of Moshiach! - Benny Traurig, President, The Beth Joseph Anshai New York Lubavitch Synagogue

We spoke every year in Nov. on his birthday, the 16th and even though he couldn''t hear me sometimes, I know he always appreciated the call. Besides his kids and their kids and their kids, poetry was the passion of his life, which he loved to share with others, including me. I didn''t always understand what he wrote, but it sounded beautiful. May he rest in peace and be a gitta beta for all those who knew him and loved him.

Dear Harley and all of your Family: I am so sorry for your Father''s passing. Losing a Parent, at age, is a profound shock to your system. I have only kind memories of our many business dealings, and for that, I''m very grateful. I wish you and your entire Family, smiles when you remember what a gift your Father was. May you know no more sorrow.
