Notice:
HEUFELD, Rudi - The Jazz Man -
February 20, 1925 - September 7, 2020.
It is with immense sadness that our family
announces the passing of our beloved Rudi. He
passed peacefully at home from heart failure
surrounded by his loved ones. Rudi was a hero
to us all, and truly one of a kind. A humble
wise man, he cherished times spent with family
and friends.
Predeceased by his beautiful wife Dorothy, Rudi
was a loving father to Cathy and Howard, a
devoted grandfather to Jason, Jaclyn, Mark,
Daniel and great grandson Xabriel, wonderful
uncle, and friend. He touched us all and
has left his indelible handprint on our
hearts.
His legacy will live on forever, and his
presence will always flow through us like the
harmonies of smooth jazz.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the family will
be holding a private funeral Wednesday,
September 9th.
Shiva will take place at 57 Glenforest Drive,
Thornhill ON L4J 8K5 and the schedule is as
follows:
Wednesday Sept 9th 3pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm,
Thursday Sept 10th 1pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm,
Friday Sept 11th 1pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm,
Sunday Sept 13th 1pm-5pm.
The family is limiting the number of guests per
visit and have arranged for a tent in their
backyard in order to facilitate everyone's
health and safety. Please note masks are
mandatory.
Please call or text Jason at 416-464-2767 as he
is organizing visitation and meals.
Princess Margaret Cancer Research Centre is the
charity of choice should you wish to make a
donation in Rudi's honour.
