Dianne Sylvia Green
Born on March 30 1937 in London, Ontario.
Passed peacefully on July 31 2022 in Toronto, at age 85.
A loving, nurturing, caring, funny, generous, dedicated, strong, and kind wife to the late Michael, mother to Jeff, and the late Randi, sister to Cecile, Donny, and the late Jerry, daughter to the late Sam and Rose, grandmother to Adam, and a very good friend to many.
"Hi Mrs. Green !" is what I would hear, daily, growing up.
My mother was a teaching assistant at Ancaster Elementary School for twenty seven wonderful years. Mom loved working with the children and they loved her.
My sister Randi and myself went to the same school and had the privilege of getting extra cookies at lunch. Thanks mom :)
But of course if we ever misbehaved, the news traveled extra fast.
Bobi (Mom) carried on the extra cookie tradition with her grandson Adam when he also attended Ancaster.
From the students, "Hi Mrs Green !" evolved into "Hi Bobi !".
My mother, despite enduring much hardship in her later years, maintained her desire to live, to enjoy her life, made new friends easily with her quick smile and ready laugh, and moved onto the next chapter thanks to the wonderful care of the dedicated staff at Toronto Rehab and Chester Village.
There are many good mothers. In the years to come, I will only continue to appreciate how great a mother you were.
Hey mom, give Dad and Randi a big hug for me.
Does heaven have television? Are you watching your Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and Judge Judy ?
Thinking of you often....
Love,
Jeff
