I met Sherry when she was on vacation in Miami Beach back in 1969. We stayed in touch for many years afterwards, but, since we lived far away from each other, we did lose touch for many decades. I recall she was a very sweet, kind and pretty girl in those days. Luckily, because of Facebook we were able to re-connect nine and a half years ago and communicated via Facebook and email. I send my deepest sympathy to her family. May she always be a blessed memory.

We are so sorry to hear of Sherry''s passing. She was such a caring and amazing person who we met once we became a part of the JDRF family. She had a beautiful loving nature about her that made us feel safe and comforted at times when we needed it most. She will be dearly missed in this world. Our heartfelt condolences to her family.

To Sherry''s family, Our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Sherry. Our daughter Aviva has type 1 diabetes and our family came to know Sherry through JDRF. Sherry was always a beacon of light and warmth. She was easy to talk to and loved to chat. She knew our entire family and remembered everyone''s name. She cared and we appreciated her welcoming nature. She was a sweetheart, a gem, and will be dearly missed. May you find comfort in the memories of special moments enjoyed together. I knew Sherry through JDRF. My daughter Suzanne and husband Larry Ross worked very closely with her on many fundraising events. She was very kind and sensitive to their sons Noah and Jamie. She was so very dedicated to help find a cure for Type 1 and was an outstanding advocate, had unlimited skills and was a very vital asset to JDRF. I admired her very much and it was an honour to have known her. Marilyn Rosenberg mother of Suzanne

To Sherry’s family. Words cannot express how devastated our family is to have heard about Sherry. We worked very closely with Sherry for many many years when she was at JDRF. Our boys who both live with Type 1 were given so many opportunities by Sherry over the years to participate in many JDRF events. This helped mould them into the people they are today. Sherry’s tireless efforts in working to help us fund a cure for Type 1 Diabetes will never be forgotten. The impact she had not only on us but on the Type 1 community will remain in our hearts forever. Please know how much we loved her and how much we will miss her. We were honoured to call her our friend. We are so sorry for your loss. May Sherry’s memory be for a blessing.
