Notice:
MERMAN, Ian - It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ian Merman on Saturday May 29, 2021, at the age of 62.
Beloved husband for thirteen years to Shelley Mamott. Devoted son of the late Phyllis and Tommy Merman. Son-in-law to Jerry and Sheila Mamott. Brother to Alvin (Eileen) Merman and Ivy (Perry) Shapransky. Brother-in-law to Loren (Donna) Mamott. Loving Uncle to Erica and Daniel Pincus, Kyle Merman, Robin and Jared, Courtney, Taylor Shapransky, and great uncle to Olivia, Charlie and Aubrey. Ian was larger than life, with a personality that drew people towards him because he was genuine and caring. He loved life and lived it to its fullest. His love of adventure took him and Shelley all over the world. Cycling, his favorite passion is what gave him so much pleasure to the very end. His long-time friends from Merton and Wagar were still a big part of his life after all these years. Not a day went by that Ian didn't mention Homer, his dog of 15 years. He was an authentic man who nurtured relationships and left an impact on everyone he met. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.
Donations in Ian's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
