GRAVESIDE FUNERAL LIMITATIONS

, Due to the rapid increase in the last week in Covid cases due to the Omicron variant, we have made the decision to only allow a maximum number of 25 people plus the clergy and staff at the gravesite.
Our priority is to protect the families who have suffered a loss, the community we serve, the clergy and cemetery staff we work with and of course our staff.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Harold Martin Blond, who left us too soon on Tuesday January 14th, 2025. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an exceptional member of his community.
Born on January 5th, 1946 in Montreal, Quebec, Harold was the second child of Joseph Blond and Sonya Chaiken. He graduated from McGill University and Concordia University earning both bachelor of education and bachelor of arts. Later pursuing a master of arts and education. Harold dedicated his career to education for over 30 years. Harold held many passions including linguistics, music and cultural diversity.
Harold met the love of his life, Rosalie, and they were married for 49 wonderful years. They were blessed with two children, Joseph and Miriam, whom they loved and adored. Harold was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a man of integrity, always putting his family's needs above his own.
Harold had a love for learning languages, playing multiple instruments, and taking walks through nature in his free time. He was known for his infectious laughter, his kind heart, and his willingness to help others.
He is survived by his wife Rosalie, his children Joseph and Miriam and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
The funeral service will be held on Friday January 17th, 2025 at Pardes Chaim Cemetery at 1:00 PM followed by Shiva at 30 Harding Boulevard West, Suite 904 . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 1-888-939-333,
