Notice:
POTTER, Sheldon - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheldon Potter, predeceased by his parents, Sam and Marcia, father of Chase (Lauren), Tysen (Laura), and Sasha (Dylan), and brother of Janet, Meryl, and Mark (Susan) on March 16th, 2022. Growing up in Winnipeg, Sheldon excelled in school and, motivated by his passion for advocacy, became a corporate lawyer in Toronto after graduating from Osgoode Law School. Throughout his life, Sheldon demonstrated a deep love for his family, Israel, and philanthropy, wholly dedicating himself to all that he believed in.
Sheldon was an adventurous, intelligent man who had an undeniably warm and sensitive heart beneath a tough outer shell. Memories abound of his embarrassingly loud cheering when he watched his sons play hockey and his one-on-one dates with his daughter every Saturday. Sheldon was the kind of father who would listen with a sensitive ear and advocate for his children in whatever way he could.
Sheldon spent his last few years living comfortably at Castleview-Wychwood Towers and we'd like to thank all of the staff for their loving care.
Donations can be made to Shalva National Centre in Sheldon's honour. (
